The sculpture was created in the Åkervinda Ceramics workshop. It is made of white clay, burned together with organic filling and poisonous oxides to create a rugged surface and a burned feeling.

The sculpture is showing a woman decisively walking forward, holding her own heart that is ripped out of her chest cavity, blood vessels still connecting it to the inside. The skirt and the hair are flailing in the wind, and the woman is holding her eyes closed and the chin pouted in a defiant expression, showing bravery despite being vulnerable with the heart out.

The sculpture was custom made for a private collection and is not for sale.
